Communication Engineering

Communication engineering is dealing with the development or growth of communications in technology. They’re responsible for the research, design, development and production of communications equipment/systems. Communication engineering can also include computer, electrical or telecommunications engineers.

Something that is required would be a bachelor's degree. A bachelor’s degree is a four-year degree. It usually takes four years of full-time study to earn a bachelor's degree. In these four years, you will complete 120 semester credits or about 40 college courses. One of the other requirements that are recommended, is an internship. Doing an internship while attending college is very highly recommended, but is not necessarily required.

As of April 10, 2015, the national average salary for a Communication Engineer is $72,759. In El Paso,Texas there was no average found due to not having enough employee data.

Electrical engineers are concerned with the electrical requirements of a communication system such as the controls and the wiring. Telecommunications engineers have specific training related to the technology and theories of communication systems including voice, video and data transmission.
