bilateral semmetry

these three snow leopard cubs can be foundat altitudes between 9,800 and 17,000 feet in the high, rugged mountains of Central Asia. Their range spans from Afghanistan to Kazakstan and Russia in the north to India and China in the east.

The length of their body including their head is about 39 to 57 inches long and their tail alone, is 31-39 inches long. They weigh about 55-60 pounds and have very different features than that of regular leopards. Their skull shape and color pattern are different than the leopards who reside in jungles and the rainforest.

Snow Leopards will kill and eat whatever meat they can find. This includes wild game native to the area such as Ibexes and Bharal, as well as Pikas, Marmots and other small rodents. With a complete digestive system

Snow leopards are capable of running very fast for short distances. However, the ability to run fast is not a particular adaptation of this big cat.

Snow leopards have been known to leap as much as 30 feet.

In order to communicate across such distances, these cats leave markings on the landscape that other snow leopards will find. They scrape the ground with their hind legs

Snow leopards live in the mountains during the winter and move down to the meadows in the summer. They tend to procreate in winter, where they will then raise their cubs in the areas they live in based on the season.

the snow leopard dominates all other animals in the foodcahin in this area

Very rare in most of their range, an estimated 3,500 to 7,000 snow leopards are left in the wild, with 600 - 700 in zoos around the world.
