Code of Ethics & Principles

Overall the code of ethics expects teachers to always behave in a professional matter, being with students, parents, administration, colleagues, and other members of the community.

Teachers have a big responsibility; their job is to educate young minds as well as to teach them to be good citizens in our society. The best way to teach how to be good law abiding citizens; is by example.

Not only should a teacher behave and strive to have an ethical behavior but also devote him or herself to the purpose of teaching. “The educator's primary professional concern will always be for the student and for the development of the student's potential. The educator will therefore strive for professional growth and will seek to exercise the best professional judgment and integrity.”

An educator should not for any reason discriminate a child based on their; race, color, religion, sex, age, national or ethnic origin, political beliefs, marital status, handicapping condition, sexual orientation, or social and family background and shall make reasonable effort to assure that each student is protected from harassment or discrimination.
