Cumulus Clouds
Cirrus Clouds
A cirrus cloud is a wispy white or light gray clouds usally made of fine crystals. It is formed when water vapor is above 5,000 meters. They are the average thickness of 1,500 meters.Ciroculumlus clouds occur 16,000 feet above sea level. They have water droplets and ice cryatals in it so the water droplets freeze into cirroculumlus clouds.
Clouds
Nimbostratus Clouds
A stratus cloud is the lowest cloud of all of the clouds and are called fog or mist when they are eath-bound. These clouds are from 0-6,500 feet in altitude and no liguid is involved in making these clouds.
ALTOCUMULUSCLOUDSTRATOCUMULUSCLOUD
A nimbostratus cloud is a formless cloud layer that is dark gray. This cloud is located between the surface and 10,000 meters. These clouds produce precipitiation. This cloud is made of water droplets.
Cirrus, Ciroculumlus and cirostratus clouds and the high clouds. Nimbostratus and Altostratus are the middle clouds. Culumlus, stratus, cumulimbus and stratoculumlus clouds are all lower clouds.
A cumulus cloud is looks like puffy cotton. They grow upward, and they can develop into a giant cumulonimbus clouds. The bottom of the cloud is flat and they are only 1,000 meters off the ground. These clouds are made of water droplets but the growing cloud is made of ice crystals. This then forms a cumulonimbus cloud which is a thunderstorm cloud. A cumulonimbus cloud is a cloud that makes thunderstorms. There dark bases are no more that 300 meters above the surface. All of the energy in the clouds forces the water vapor in the cloud to form into lightning and thunder.
The altocumulus clouds which are also called the layers of bread because they form layers in the sky. These clouds form at 6,500 - 18,000 feet above the surface and they are found all over the world. They occasionally rain lightly and are made of mostly liquid water and contains ice crystals.Stratocumulus clouds are similar to many clouds and they are textured and puffy and also are joined into semi-continuous layers. They form into cumulus or stratus clouds. They are found 2,000 - 6,5000 feet above the surface and they are made of liquid water that will rain lightly or snow.
