As a young girl growing up in the palace of Alexandria,Cleopatra learned well the art of court intrigue. She also appears to have developed a loathing for her ambitious brother Ptolemy Xlll.Cleopatra had 4 children. Cleopatra had 3 different husbands throughout her life, her younger brother Ptolemy XIII, who was only 12 at the time. They were married for approximately 4 years before his premature death (drowning). She also married her other younger brother her other younger brother Ptolemy XIV, and Marc Anthony. However these were not the only love affairs Cleopatra had during her lifetime. Cleopatra also had a widely publicized affair, and possibly marriage with Julius Caesar, which produced a son: Caesarian, who was later strangled. Cleopatra also had 3 other Children from Mark Anthony. Alexander Helios, Cleopatra Selene II who were twins, in addition to Ptolemy Philadelphus.

Cleopatra has 4 siblings, a Egyption mother,and a Roman father.Cleo's brothers and sisters were Ptolemy Xllll Theos Philopator,Arsinoe lV of Egypt ,Ptolemy XlV of Egypt, and Berenice lV of Egypt. Cleo had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Cleopatra's mother was a Egyption Queen. Her name was Cleopatra 5th of Egypt. Her father was Mark Antony, a Roman politician and general who played a critical role in the transformation of the Roman Republic.The Queens death is seen by many as a tragic ending to a great love story. Her husband, Mark Anthony committed suicide on the battlefield after being deceived into believing that Cleopatra herself was dead. Once this news came to Cleopatra, she took an asp (an Egyptian cobra) and got it to bite her in the breast. This type of death, by Egyptian beliefs would ensure immortality

Why was Cleopatra famous? Only 17 yaers old when she took took the throne,Cleo quikly became one of the most powerful rulers Egypt had ever known. She bonded personally and politically with two of ancient Rome's most powerful leaders, Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. Cleopatra studied philosophy, literature, art, music, medicine,and was able to speak six different languages.She spoke Aramaic, Egyptian, Ethiopic, Greek, Hebrew, and Latian.The siblings were competing for the throne, Rome was expanding its territory and the three most powerful generals(JuliusCaesar,Cnaeus Pompeious Mangnus, and Marcus Licinius) were on their way to creating history.

The ancient Egyptians who built the pyramids may have been able to move massive stone blocks across the dessert by camel or slave by wetting the sand infront of a contraption built to pull heavy objects.
