Hello, Class!Today we are going to learn about reading comprehension. That term may seem confusing, but it just means that we will understand what we read.1. Watch the video of author Carol Ekster as she reads two of her books, "Where am I Sleeping Tonight?" and "Ruth the Sleuth."2. Choose your favorite book she read.3. Use the Tripod Response Sheet (graphic organizer) to talk about what she read.4. Respond to one prompt for each a Personal Response, Creative Response, and Critical Response.5. Bring your responses to school when you are done. We can have a class discussion about what we learned from these two books!

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.3.1 Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers.
