13th Amendment: No Slavery

14th Amendment: Equal Protection Under The Law

15th Amendment: No Restrictions on Voting

The 13th Amendment, or the first Civil War Amendment, prevented slavery or involuntary service, except for punishment.

The 14th Amendment, or second Civil War Amendment, made for equal protection under the law regardless of race or color. The 14th Amendment also defined being an American Citizen, and proclaimed that states could not take a citizen's life, liberty, or property without due process of law.

The 15th Amendment, or thrid Civil War Amendment, prevented any restrictions to be put on voting based on race or color.
