The Voting Rights Act

In 1965 the voting discrimination was outlawed by President Lyndon B Johnson. The laws were guaranteed by the 14th and the 15th Amendment.

In the act of 1964 ,there is a land mark piece that outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

In 1954 the Supreme Court decided that Mexican Americans and all other racial groups in the United States had equal protection under the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

In 1954 a Supreme Court case in which the Court declared state laws establishing separate public schools for black and white students to be unconstitutional.decision stated that separate educational facilities are unequal and unconstituional

Sweatt v. Painterwas a U.S. Supreme Court case that successfully challenged the "separate but equal" doctrine of racial segregation established by the 1896 case Plessy v. Ferguson. This ase was influential in the landmark case of Brown v. Board of Education four years later.
