The circulatory system function in the delivery of oxygen, nutrient molecules, and hormones and the removal of carbon dioxide, ammonia and other metabolic wastes. Capillaries are the points of exchange between the blood and surrounding tissues.

The circulatory system is organs and vessels that is responsible for the blood, nutrients, oxygen and other gases, and hormones to and from the cells. Without the circulatory system, the body would not be able to fight disease or maintain a stable internal environment including proper temperature and pH which is known as homeostasis.

Circulatory system

The Circulatory System is responsible for transporting materials throughout the entire body. It transports nutrients, water, and oxygen to your body cells and carries away wastes such as carbon dioxide that the body cells produce.

Function

Whats a circulatory system ?

The blood carries out oxygen and nutrients to our cells and getting rid of Carbon dioxide, ammonia and other wastes. Blood is composed of many different kinds of components. They are red cells , white cells , platelets, and plasma. The red blood cells are known as erythrocytes. They transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues of the body and carries out carbon dioxide. The white blood cells are known as leukocytes. It makes a small part of blood's volume. They are found in the spleen, liver, and lymph glands. Most are produced from our bones, & the same stem cells that produce red blood cells. The white blood cells help kill bacteria, viruses, ans fungi. Also one of their job is getting rid of dying or dead cells. The platelets are known as thrombocytes. They attach to the walls of blood vessels, and can release chemicals which causes clots to form in the blood. The platelets help fight infection by releasing proteins to kill bacteria. The plasma is a clear, yellow tinted water, sugar, fat, protein and salt solution that carries the red cells, white cells, platelets, including other chemicals. The plasma cells is a method the body uses to fight diseases. Each produces a antibody to neutralize a antigen. When the antigen entets the body, they first bind to the B cell which multiplies to form plasma cells. The plasma cell uses the antibodies to stop the pathogen. It removes waste products of the metabolism. Also it contains vitamins,minerals,hormones, enzymes, antibodies & other proteins.

The components of blood

Arteries: carry blood away from the heart.Capillaries: carry blood away from the body and exchange nutrients,waste, and oxygen.Veins: are blood vessels that bring blood back to the heart.

The pressure of the blood in the circulatory system, measured for diagnosis since it is closely related to the rate of the heartbeat.

How does the heart beat?Before the heart beats, your heart fills with blood. Then the muscle contracts to squirt the blood. When the heart contracts it squeezes. The heart is the key organ in the circulatory syste. Its main function is to propel blood throughout thr body. It beats from 60 to 100 times per minute, but can go faster. The heart gets messages from the body.

Diseases of the heart: hypertension means high blood pressure. It causes a heart disease and is determined by the amount of blood your heart pumps and the amount of blood flow in your arteries.The atherosclerosis can affect any artery in the body, including the arteries in the heart,brain,arms,legs,pelvis, and kidneys.The fibrillation often rapid heart rate that causes poor blood flow to the body.

3 types of blood vessels.

The circulatory system function maintain homeostasis by circulating blood and other cells. It produce nutrients, energy, and protection throughout the body to control the balance.
