Facts about Columbus!-Christopher columbus had two sons names Diego and Fernando.- On Christmas Eve Christopher allowed an experienced boy to steer the Santa Maria and later that night the ship crashed onto a reef near Hispaniola. Only the Nina and Pinta returned to Spain. - Christopher Columbus and his crew were actually seeing the island of San Salvador, 375 miles off of the coast of Florida. -The first commemoration of Columbus took place in 1792.-Known as a cruel and brutal ruler of Hispaniola, Columbus had 23 charges against him of atrocities and mercilessness.
