Gold Mines were located in boomtowns. They are what brought people to the boomtowns.

Boom Town

Western Boomtowns

People often put out advertizments for their boomtowns. The more people they bring in the more money they earn.

Boomtowns were very popular because people left home to search for gold and they would be sleeping outside if they didn't create them. People didn't want their kids and wives sleeping out in the wilderness.

Boomtowns are what formed over night from people that were looking for gold in the west.

People took the chance of dieing just to find some gold. If they were lucky they would strike some and be very rich.
