He started as an alpine downhill skier at age four. He grew up in New Hampshire, and later on went to the University of Colorado. He became involved in big-mountain competition after graduation. One of his hobbies is photography, he listens to Bob Marley, The Black keys, and Jerry Garcia. His biggest idols are Scot Schmidt and Pirmin Zurbriggen.

He does a lot of things like being a commentator for ESPN and ABC sports. he has narrated a lot of racing skiing competition or big events as Winter Olympics or X Games. He is also a mountaineering guide. Being a freeskier was something where he got a lot of credit for what he did , like mt. Everest and the 14ers in Colorado. He is also a good family dad.

Some of the most important accomplishments he has won are: World Extreme Skiing Champion in 1996, 24 Hours of Aspen Champion in 1998, IFSA World Freeskiing Champion in 2000, Wild Dash for Cash Chinese Downhill Champion, Aspen in 2003, and Everest Award Winner-Expedition of the Year (14ers) .

He now is a family dad that lives in Aspen Colorado. He has three children and his wife. He is always training his kids to become better skiers, because they also love skiing just like him. He’s always skiing and elaborating new projects. He sometimes narrates skiing competitions, and he’s also a mountaineering guide.
