Hollywood has a huge part in why so many people stereotype Native Americans. Native Americans were among the first subjects to be portrayed in film, which allowed hollywood to portray them however they wanted since many people didn't know their history. White settlers being attacked by Native Americans was a common plot. Native Americans were portrayed as the buffoon.
