Infectious Agent & Incubation Period

Chickenpox

Slight fever, irratibility, cold-like symptoms. Red rash that develops blister-like and scabs over later. Chickenpox affects the most abundant areas on the body like, chest, neck, back and forearms.

Chickenpox is a virus and the incubation period is 2-3 weeks after exposure.

Airborne through contact with secretions from the respiratory tract. Transmission through contact with the blisters is less likely to happen.
