Cheetahs are vulnerable, which means their population is decreasing.

Acinonyx jubatus

When cheetahs are running, they use their tails to help them steer and turn in the direction they want to go, like the rudder of a boat. They use their keen eyesight to scan for prey. Their spotted coat helps them blend in.

They have a body length between 3.5 - 5 ft, a tail length between 23.5 - 32 inches and they weigh between 46 - 160 lbs.
