A symbiotic relationship a cheetah has is with its family. The young cubs learn to hunt with their mothers. When they grow old enough to go out on their own, and they use their skills taught by their mothers to catch prey. Males from the same litter will often stay together after leaving their mothers. This grouping is called a coalition.

Another Sybiotic relationship that a cheetah has is with the grasslands that it lives in. The cheetah hunts animals in the grasslands which balances the population leaving enough resources for all animals.

Most wild cheetahs are found in eastern and southwestern Africa. Perhaps only 7,000 to 10,000 of these big cats remain, and those are under pressure as the wide-open grasslands they favor are disappearing at the hands of human settlers.
