A piece written by Gilman. In this piece, she attacked the male monoploly on opportunity and declared that "domesticity was a value for American women. "
Gilman and other feminists like her joined in these rallies as they fought for women's rights.
"The Yellow Wallpaper," is one of Gilman's best known pieces of writing. This book is regarded as an important early work of American feminist literature, depicting attitudes in the nineteenth century toward women's physical and mental health.
