In 1836 Charles Dickens published his first book Oliver Twist into his magazine. He married Catherine Hogarth and had 10 children. After several long years Charles left his wife, also in the same year his daughter and father died. Then Charles went into a 'Dark novel' period and wrote three books. When he came out of his ' dark novel' period he wrote A Tale between two Cities. After that he wrote several other books and then died in 1873.

With his exposure novels, such as Oliver Twist, Dickens attacked the working of the poor law of his Victorian Age
