Charles bridge

The Charles bridge is 1,692 feet long. It is an arch bridge, and it's made out of Boheman sandstone.

The Charles bridge was built in 1357 in Prague, Czech Republic. It was built to replace the Judith bridge that was destroyed in a flood. It also was a very important trading route between east and west Europe. It crosses over top of the Vtlava river. It is named after King James the llll. It was called the stone bridge until 1870.
