Pollination allows flowers and plants to produce what they need to. Bees are pollinators. There is a cause and effect relationship in pollination. The cause is the bees moving pollen (Pollination). The effect is the Fertilization, or ability of flowers to produce seeds.

The position of the moon is the reason there are different tide levels: high and low. The cause is the gravitational pull of the moon, and its position relative to the earth. The effect is the level of the tide, high or low.

Heat causes a physical change in butter: the butter melts. Cause: heat Effect: melting of butter

Cause and effect ACTIVITY:http://siemensscienceday.com/pdf/BeforeandAfter.pdfThis activity addresses the cause and effect of physical and chemical changes in matter. A standard from NGSS that fits this activity is 2-PS1-4. The disciplinary core idea is Chemical Reactions and the relation to science practices is engaging in argument from evidence. Students will see the cause and effect of various physical and chemical changes, and argue whether the changes are reversible or irreversible.
