Catherine Mcauley created an institution for sick, poor and needy women and families.
Catherine Mcauley
Catherine Mcauley was born in 1778 in Dublin, Ireland
I admire Catherine because of her sense of compassion and the fact that she put her fortune toward the Sisters of Mercy.
"Prayer is a plant, the seed of which must be nourished or it will die"
Catherine lost her father at a young age, and was an orphan by 18 years old. She was sent to live with her wealthy relatives, the Callaghans. When Mr. Callaghan passed away, he left his entire fortune to Catherine.
