Setting the Stage:Catching Fire

We begin..

We begin where we left off. Senecca Crane is forced to eat the poisonous berries and a new Game Maker is chosen. Katniss and Peeta are under intense scrutiny from President Snow for openly defying the Capitol in The Hunger Games. Katniss is forced to pretend her love for Peeta led her to make such a rash decision and the two are forced to pretend to be a happy couple when in public. Katniss returns home to find that things are not the same as they were when she left. As a victor of The Hunger Games, Katniss will now reside in Victor's Village with her family. She no longer needs to hunt for her family's food in order to survive so she volunteers to hunt for Gale while he is working in the mines.
