Cartier by Aaron

Cartier was born in 1557. He was from France. The king, King Francis, sent Jaques Cartier on a journey that would take a long time.

He wanted him to explore Canada so he could find a passage to Asia and claim it for France.

Cartier could not find a passage to Asia.

He explored parts of North America three times. He met Indians while he was on his journeys.
