Cartesian Plane and Linear Graphs

The number grid alongside is a Cartesian plane, named after Rene ́ Descartes. The numbers or coordinates on it allow us to locate the exact position of a point on the plane. The horizontal line is the y axis and the vertical one is the y axis.
