Their Habitat..Most carnivorous plants live in bogs and swamps. These places are usually low-nutrient environments. They have been found in North America, home of the Venus Flytrap.

What they eat..carnivorous plants eat insects and small creatures in order to get the nutrients they need to live.

Interesting Facts..Carnivorous plants produce digestive enzymes or use bacterial enzymes for digestion of food.Some carnivorous plants (like Sundew) can live up to 50years in the wild.They are often colorful, have beautiful smell and produce large quatities of nectar.Most species of carnivorous plants are small herbaceous plants that can reach a height of 12 inches.

General Characteristics..-Bright colors.-Sweet-smelling nectar.-Trap mechanisms.-The appearance of a beautiful flower.

There are more than 450 different species of carnivorous plants found in the world.
