Carnival in Rio

The origin of the costumes for Carnival comes from the ancient Egypt, originally, Christians were those who began to celebrate the Carnival

It always falls between March 22nd and April 25th. Historically, Easter is celebrated the first Sunday after the full moon after the Equinox of spring in the northern hemisphere. And carnivals are celebrated 40 days after that.

Why ?

The carnival parades consist of a competition of schools rigorously prepared to parade crowned as champions. Each school has around 4000 people. The participants belong to the Association of Samba schools of Rio de Janeiro.
