Atmosphere

Deep Sea

Fossil Fuels

the amosphere is an envolope of gases that surround the earth. Plants remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere

The deeper parts of the ocean, especially those beyond the edge of the continental shelf.sea creatures build their shells from dessolved carbonates.

Plants

a living organism of the kind exemplified by trees, shrubs, herbs, grasses, ferns, and mosses, typically growing in a permanent site, absorbing water and inorganic substances through its roots, and synthesizing nutrients in its leaves by photosynthesis using the green pigment chlorophyll. CO2 enters the leafs. decaying organisms are made of carbon.

Fossil fuel is decayed plants and animals that have been converted to crude oil, coal, natural gas, or heavy oils. humans burn fossil fuels, releasing carbon dioxide.

Animals eat plants, releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and into water. dead organisms and waste products become fossil fuels.

Surface Ocean

Soil

Soil is the mixture of minerals, organic matter, gases, liquids, and the countless organisms that together support life on earth. roots are made of carbon that once came from the air.

surface ocean is the top part of the ocean. it where the carbon in the water turns into the air. it absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere. then is brought to the deep ocean to build the shells of marine organisms.

the series of processes by which carbon compounds are interconverted in the environment, chiefly involving the incorporation of carbon dioxide into living tissue by photosynthesis and its return to the atmosphere through respiration, the decay of dead organisms, and the burning of fossil fuels.
