Our Goal:
My goal is that people realize how lucky they are to be healthy and not have a life-controlling disease. This isn't something to joke about, and people suffer with this everyday of their lives. They are not privilaged to the life that we have.
T.M.S.'s goal is to raise $5,ooo.oo for childhood cancer. In our school from 6-8 grade we have roughly around 900 students. That means if just the students were responsible for this task, each student would need to bring in just about $5.50. I find it heart breaking that people won't even donate a cent.
7.6 million people die from cancer yearly
There are about 12.7 million people that aquire cancer every year
16,000 children (age of 0-19) are diagnosed with children every year
*There are more than 100 different types of cancer.*About 1/3 of people of had or will have some type of cancer in their life*Cancer is caused by internal and external factors*Cancer is cured by surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormones, and immunotherapy.
