Can plants grow without sunlight?Science 3.L.2.2 - Explain how environmental conditions determine how well plants survive and grow.
Plant 1 and 2 both grew. However, Plant 1 grew 4 inches, and Plant 2 only grew 1 inch. Though both plans grew, Plant 1 grew more because it received soil, sunlight, air, and water. Plant 2 did not grow as much because it was missing sunlight for growth.
In order to answer the question "Can plants grow without sunlight?" I used two variables. One: a plant in soil that was watered once every two days. Two: a plant in soil that was watered once every two days also.I put plant 1 in the sunlight in the window. I put plant 2 in a dark closet, where it received no sunlight. I observed the plants daily for two weeks.
