.There are some 240 speaking langauges in Cameroon, and Only 100 in written form. For some ,nodding quickly and audibly and taking in breaths means "YES" , shrugging and shaking their heads mean "NO". In Cameroon people have marothons up and down Mount Cameroon ,(13,450 ft+ 4,100 meters)

The flag of Cameroon was recently adoptedin 1975 , the flag displays the vertical brands of the African Pan-American colors, greeen ,red, and yellow. A single yellow star appears on the red strip.Cameroons previouse flag had 2 stars instead of 1. The two star flag was shortly changed to one shortly after the country became unified.

Cameroon History

French Cameroon became independent in 1960 as the republic of Cameroon. The following year the southern part of british Cameroon voted on merging with the republic. In 1972 a new costitution replaced the unitary state,the United Republic of Cameroon.

Because of Cameroons oil recourses and great agriculture , Cameroon has one of the best economies in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2013 Cameroon was the 114th common trading partner with the U.S due to oil recourses.

Cameroon Foods

Common Cameronnian foods include Cassava, Cocoyam, Yam, Rice , Plantain , Potatoes, Maize , Beans , Millet , Ndole , and Achu. The French introduced French bread and italian pasta which are not eaten in alot in African countrys , however due to price.
