Calcium contributes to bone formation. It helps young animals bones form, this is why young animals often drink milk.
Milk FeverA sudden drop in blood calcium. This can become fatal.
Calcium
If an animal is deficient in calcium, you would start to see things such as milk fever and rickets disease
RicketsCrooked limbs and enlarged joints in animals
Calcium helps produce hormones and enzymes to help reproduce
If your pet has milk fever or is low in calcium, you can give them calcium supplements.
Calcium also helps provide stronger muscles and better nerve movement between your brain and body parts.
