After binge eating and purging one feels ashamed and depressed.
Bulimia is a severe eating disorder where one binge eats and then forces themselves to vomit, take laxatives and or do extreme amounts of exercise. People around the world do this because they are terrified of gaining weight. This disease is mainly seen in teen girls but also affects men and women of every age.
Bulimia
Treatments for bulima almost never result in going to the hospital unless one has anorexia. The most used treatments are support groups, behavioural and nutritional therapy and antidepressants.
There are a few symptoms of bulima:- Eating large amounts of food and soon after going to the bathroom to purge- Scars on knuckles from putting their fingers down their throat - Yellow teeth from stomach acid. - Puffy cheeks from regular vomiting.
People who suffer from bulimia are most likely to be missing out on important vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin A, B, C and E. Also people who have bulimia should stay away from alcohol, caffeine and tobacco.
