Achieving Nirvana

Nirvana is a peaceful state of relaxation that is free from suffering and anything that envolves bad Karma. Once you come to realize that difference between bad and good karma is when you have achieved Nirvana. Siddhartha achieved enlightenment when he sat under the Bodhi tree. He was in this meditative state for 7 days when he cam to realize the freedom of craving and bad deeds. He finally understood the meaning of life. Once you achieve enlightenment it is the end of desire.

How did Buddhism Come to be?

The goal for Buddhists is to end suffering.Buddhism doesnt have have only one origin but has many. The guide of buddhism will help people to end their suffering and samasara.-The three training practices: Sila, Samadhi, Prajna-The four noble Truths: Dukkha, Samudaya, Nirodha, MaggaThe 4 noble truths are the vital to understanding and respecting Buddhism. If you understand and accept these they will help you changer your life around- The Eightfold path is to help guide Buddhists to achieve Nirvana and to end suffering.

The origins of Buddhism was discovered in India 2500 years ago. When a man name Siddhartha was born everyone told his mother that he was going to become the great Buddha or a king. Siddhartha married princess yasodhara. His father who was the king wanted his son the become a great king.So he did everything in his power to make sure that Siddharthta saw no suffering or anything evil within his kingdom. When Siddhartha turned 29 he wanted to experience the world. So when he left the kingdom he stumbled on "the four sights". He saw the ederly, a sick man, a deseased man and a asceticman who was homeless. After witnessing this siddhartha letf the kingdom and became an ascetic, to try and achieve enlightenment. this included starving himself, which later on he found out didnt work for him so he decided to follow the middle way path in life. Meaning moderstion.

The term Buddha represents the awakened one. Everything that the Buddha taught his people was how to end suffering and how it leads to enlightenment.It is by living it inorder to follow this law that wisdom, love and freedom from any kind of suffering that may be attained.

The moral issue is bullying. This is against Buddhism because it involves the sufffering of humans. The Buddha teaches to live in peace, not to suffer. The teachings that apply are the four noble truths, which end suffering. Buddhists believe suffering is caused by greed and ignorance.

Meditation is essential to a Buddhists life. They meditate by: sitting in a lotus position with their legs crossed, and their hands in their lap. Their back is straight and their eyelids are half closed, making sure their concentrated on their breathing. The Buddha was enlightened under the Bodhi tree.The Buddha, the Dhamma, and the sanga are the three refuges to help make Buddhist teachings understandable.
