About me

English 9
When I was in high school, I was a member of the MHS band; I was a percussionist, and played snare drum during marching season. I also worked on the school newspaper and was a member of various clubs, my favorite of which was Beta. I am a Beta Club sponsor now, so hit me up about that! My interests, besides teaching English, include music, reading, technology, fashion, and social media. I got ENGAGED this summer!!!
I graduated from Morrilton High School. I earned a B.A. in English Education (with a minor in Print Journalism) from Harding University in Searcy, AR. I am currently enrolled in Literacy Lab training at Harding University and will have 8 hours toward a graduate degree in Reading by the end of the year.

"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." - Martin Luther King Jr.
The goal in English class is to help you be better readers and critical thinkers, and in turn, better learners.Reading is how you will learn about the things going on in the world for the rest of your life! Learning will never end, even after you graduate!Remember that your classes this year count toward your GPA and credits toward graduation.
