Born in the Bruce Springsteen

Cool Movie Fact:-Original title of the song: Vietnam-Springsteen was sent a movie script called Born In The U.S.A., about a rock band struggling with life and religion. This gave him the idea for a new song title.- Unfortunately, when the movie was ready to be made in 1985 the title was too associated with the song.-Springsteen helped the director, Paul Schrader, out and wrote "Light of Day" which later became the movie title.

What people think the song is about...-This is one of the most misintrepreted songs of all time.- Most people thought it was a patriotic song about American pride.- Springsteen considers it one of his greatest songs but it bothers him that it is so widely misinterpreted.- President Reagan even wanted to use it in his campaign.- Springsteen was asked to use his song in a car commerical and refused because of the true meaning of the song!
