Bora Bora

Bora Bora is a part of France, and is one of the 118 Islands that make up French Polynesia. It is located in the middle of the Pacific ocean, halfway between the USA and Australia.

In Bora Bora, flowers can be used to show relationship status, going with the fact that it is considered the "Romantic Island."

Snorkeling and scuba diving is a huge attraction in Bora Bora. There are hundreds of underwater species that can be seen while out exploring the waters around Bora Bora.

In 2013, CNN did an article on the World’s 100 best beaches – Matira Beach in Bora Bora made the top 10.

Different movies and films have been made in Bora Bora. Couples Retreat, the Bachelorette, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians have all been filmed there.

Bora Bora is actually "Pora Pora," meaning “first born”, in the local Tahitian language. Early settlers thought the natives were saying Bora Bora. So, the name stuck.

There are no poisonous snakes or insects there, making it a true paradise and a great vacation spot.
