Greek Gods & Modern SuperHeroes

The relation of superpowers, appearance, and journey of the modern heroes and olympian gods is seen in the characters through Thor and Zeus, Artemis and Green Arrow, Perseus and Superman.

Greek heroes and modern heroes shares the same journey to how they become lifesavers. Perseus, the son of Zeus, is known as the god of war.Superman is the last son of the planet Krypton. Superman is sent by his father because he knows that the planet is going to explode. He send him to earth by a rocket. When Superman reaches the planet the earth, he is taken by a couple, Jonathan and Martha Kent. They provide him with care and shelter.


Zeus, the son of Cronus and Rhea, is the mighty ruler of the Olympians, king of the gods and goddess. He has two siblings which are Hades,the god of the underworld, and Poseidon, the god of the sea. he is also known as a strongest man in OlymposThor, son of Odin, is described in the book as “the strongest of the gods and is constantly called upon to the battle with forest giant of Jotunheim. In the same manner, he is known as the protector of mankind and as the God of thunder. He is one of the greatest superhero in today’s society. Thor is fearless to fight and to talk back to anyone because he believes in his father. His belief in his father makes him powerful because his father protects the earth from invasions of the aliens that wants to take the kingdom of Asgard.Artemis, daughter of Zeus, is known as the God of War and as goddess of wild animals, wilderness, childbirth and virginity. She is known as the protector of young children and is also known to relieve diseases in women.Green Arrow is a vigilante superhero who fights crime using archery, martial arts and technology. He uses his bow and arrow as a weapon to defend his people from the villains that want to them.
