Bonny Norton is a prolific writer. She is published either books or articles, roughly twice a year. Her book Identity and Language Learning is in itself a reference in its field. She also extends her research and articles to other social problems such as HIV in Africa on so on.

Dr. Bonny Norton is Professor/Distinguished University Scholar in the Department of Language and Literacy Education, University of British Columbia, CA. Her primary research interests are identity and language learning, critical literacy, and international development. She is Research Advisor of the African Storybook Project and 2006 co-founder of the Africa Research Network on Applied Linguistics and Literacy.
