Bohr's Model

Bohr's Model

Niel Bohr's model is similar to Rutherford's model in that both look similar like "planetary" models.

Niel Bohr applied quantum theory to Rutherfords atomic model by assuming that electrons travel in stationary orbits due to their angular momentum. He also discovered that the nucleus of an atom is made up of electrically neutral neutrons and postively charged electrons. His theory suggested that electrically negative charged electrons move around the nucleus in fixed orbits
