SizeThe male is 70-100 feet long and weighs about 150 tons. The female is70-108 feet long and weighs about 150 tons.The baby whale is about 25 feet long and weighs about 6-8 tons.

DietThe blue whale eats plankton,krill,shrimp,and small fish in the water.They swallow their food whole. Blue whales are also baleen.

PopulationThere are ten thousand to fourteen thousand blue whales still living in the oceans. In the early 20th century, thousands of whales were killed because of the whaling industry. Because of this industry, blue whales are an endangered species today.
