Blaise Pascal

(1623-1662) was born in Clermont-Ferrand, France. He was a french phillsopher, mathematician, physicist.

In 1642, at only at the age of 18 he invented the calculator to help out his father. The calculator was called the, Pascaline and had a wheel with 8 movable parts for dialing.

Pascal's Triangle is an arithmetical triangle that has an array of numbers in which those at the ends of the rows are 1 and each of the others is the sum of the nearest two numbers in the row above it.
