Beverly Cleary

- Born in McMinnville, Oregan 1916 and is still alive today at age 99-Developed a love for reading at a very young age but when she attended her first elemntary school, she was placed in the lowest reading circle. -By the 3rd grade she was reading fluently and decided to write her own book which is when Ramona and all of the other famous characters were born.
