Increase- the y values increase as the x values increase Decrease- the y values decrease as the x values increase

Maximum/ Minimum

Positive/Negative

Increasing/Decreasing

Positive- the y values are positve Negative- the y values are negative

Maximum- the highest point on your graphMinumum- the lowest point on yout graph

Solve f(x)= 4^x

Graph the function f(x)=4^xThe graph gets really close to the x-axis on the left but never touches the x- axis. It also gets steeper on the right.

Honors:The exponential function does not decrease because the rate is always increasing. It is used to model a relationship with a constant change in the independent variable. Its the same proportional change

Graphs are used to anlyze the expontential growth and to find what the behavior of the function will be.
