How to Become a Law

There are Seven steps in becoming a bill. First you start ou as an idea from anyone in the world.

The second step in becoming a law is to get introduced into Congress.

The fifth step is it gets sent to Congressional members where the bill is introduced to debate.

The fourth step is the bill gets sent to a standing committee. (a committee that meets regularly.)

Third step is the bill is given a title and a number to present to the standing committee which brings us to the fourth step.

Almost there!The six step is the bill gets voted on in Congress.

The seventh step is the bill goes to capital hill to the President. If the President votes yes the bill gets ssigned and becomes a law.
