GEOGRAPHY- 2 Major rivers the Brahmapurtra and the Ganges form the world's largest delta before flowing into the Bay of Bengal-Tropical and subtropical climates-Monsoons affect Bangladesh and often cause flooding-Cyclones can also strike after monsoons and these are intense tropical storms with high winds and heavy rains.-Cyclones can be followed by tidal waves that surge from Bay of Bengal

The Economy-Most people earn their living by farming-The most important crop is rice-Other crops are jute, sugarcane and wheat, tea-Fertile soil is helpful but the flooding of the rivers can destroy crops and cause food shortages-Exports large amounts of manufacteured clothing

The People- One of the most densely populated countries- 147 million people-75% live in rural areas-Many people have moved to capital city of Dhaka to work in factories-Most people speak Bengali-83% are Muslim. 17% Hindu
