Theme: Baking soda (NaHCO3) also known as sodium bicarbonate is my compound. My Mole's name is "Little Baker" but her funny nickname is Moldy Baker. She is a chef and loves to bake cookies and cakes. She is wearing a chef hat, oven mittens, and an apron. My mole baker is a perfect theme for baking soda because it is most often used in baking!

What is Baking Soda used for??Baking soda is a white solid that often appears as a fine powder. It is slightly salty and the natural mineral form of it is called nahcolite. Baking soda is most often associated with cooking, acting as a leavening agent, but it has many more uses. Baking soda can extinguish small grease fires, neutralize acids and bases, treat heart burn, used as a cleaning product, control fungus growth, and whiten teeth.
