Badminton

Playing Badminton is harder than you think it is to learn how to play, but it's a fun game to play!

A point is scored when one player hits the shuttlecock over the net without the other player ( or players ) hitting it back. To win the game you have to score twenty-one points. If the score is tied then whoever scores the next point will win the game.

There is a rectangular net that runs in between the two players, that is what the players hit the shuttlecock over. There is also two sets of cord that run parallel to each other on each side of the net. Those are the boundarie lines.

You have to hit the shuttlecock over the net and the opponet has to miss it in order to score a point. However if it lands out of the boundaries, it's out of bounds.

Each player gets five serves, a serve is when the server try's to successfully hit the shuttlecock over the net.If the shuttlecock hits the net, the server gets another chance to hit it over the net. But if hits the net again, the opponet gets a point.

Both players use a lightweight, strung racket that is used to hit the shuttlecock ( also known as a birdie ) over the net. The racket is similar to a tennis racket and the shutlecock is a cork ball with feathers sticking out of it.

Badminton is a great sport that is fun to play and learn about so, if you take the time and effort to learn and master this great sport, you will have loads of fun!

A single is when two people play, with one player on each side. A double is when four people play, with two players on each side.
