What is autism?Autism is a complex developmental disorder. Though there are no single known causes of autism, one thought is that it is in the brain; a different shape of the brain structure. SymptomsSome symptoms are lacks or shows repetitive language, refusal to make eye contact, does not smile back when smiled at, does not respond to when name is called, does not socialize, super focus on an object, repetitive behavior.
Autism is a life long diagnosis. People with an IQ of 70 or above tend to progress, and under that do not tend to do too well. Some don't ever even speak. others learn, it just takes more time. Their quality of life is relatively positive. Autism will continually be redefined. 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with autism. 1 in 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls are the statistics, so boys are more likely to get ASD
