Better Life

Their where two main reasons for the major spike in immigration from 1900-1919. One of the biggest reasons was because WWII was starting and Austria declared war with Serbia. Most of the people didn't want to be in the middle of war in their country so they immigrated to the U.S. Another big reason was because a lot of people in Austria where Jewish and where escaping Hitler because they where put under the Third Reich. Their where some other smaller factors that where involved also, people where having trouble making money, they where searching for land, and some where just looking for a better life.
