One traditional Australian instrument is the didgeridoo. It is a wind instrument. A long hollow tube made of wood and painted with beautiful designs.
Bull-RoarerAnother interesting instrument made by the aboriginals is the bull-roarer. It is a long flat piece of wood that has a string attatched to it. When you hold the string and twirl it through the air it makes a howling or roaring sound like an animal. They were used to drive away sickness or controlling weather. It is a sacred object.
